Aurora College Admission Application Form

Review the program requirements for a list of required documents before you begin the online application. If possible, have all these documents ready to upload.

Fill out the online application form completely. There are different applications for different programs. There are also different applications for domestic students (i.e. Canadians and permanent residents of Canada) and international students (foreign national from outside Canada). Be sure to complete the correct form. Click here to get to the online applications.

Once you have completed the online application form, click “Submit Application.”

Once submitted, you will be redirected to a separate page where you can upload the additional documents required for your application.

Note: There is no function to support the reloading of documents once the application is submitted. Any missing documents required for your application that were not uploaded with your application must be submitted to the Admission Officer of the campus you have applied to.

If you need help completing the application form, please see your local Adult Educator, Employment Officer, or School Principal. You may also contact the Admissions Officer at the campus to which you are applying.

You will receive an acknowledgment email from Aurora College within 7 business days of submitting your application. If you do not receive this email, first check your junk email folder. If you still cannot find this email, contact your campus admissions office (see contact information below).

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

Program requirements may vary. Here are some examples of what may be required.

Transcripts: You must arrange to have transcripts of your high school credits and/or post-secondary education sent to the Campus to which you are applying. Applicants who attended high school in the Northwest Territories can order transcripts by contacting the Education, Culture & Employment Student Records Office at (867) 920-6235, or by completing the online form at https://www.ece.gov.nt.ca/en/content/request-transcript and then clicking “Submit.”

Reference Letter(s): A letter from a teacher or employer stating why you would be a good candidate for the program you have chosen.

Letter of Interest: This one-page letter explains why you are interested in the program you have chosen.

Advanced Standing/ Transfer Credits/ Equivalencies: If you have previous post-secondary experience, you may apply for advanced standing/transfer credit/equivalent. Please contact the Registrar or the Associate Registrar for details

Aurora College Tuition And Fees For Canadian and International Students

  • Full-time Post-Secondary Programs, Occupations & College Access, University & College Access
    • $1,800 per term *Exceptions are:
    • Environment & Natural Resources Technology Diploma (ENRTP)
      • $2,400 –  Fall term of first year
      • $1,060 – ENRTP field camp only, part-time students
      • $1,800 per term for all other terms.
    • Heavy Equipment Operator
      • $2,400 (15-week program)
  • Part-Time Post Secondary Programs
    • $365 – per course, up to two courses per term
  • Adult Literacy and Basic Education
    • No Tuition or Student Fees
  • Full-time Post-Secondary Programs
    • $5,400 per term *exceptions are:
    • Environment & Natural Resources Technology Diploma (ENRTP)
      • $7,200 –  Fall term of first year
      • $3,180 – ENRTP field camp only, part-time students
      • $5,400 per term for all other terms.
  • Part-Time Post Secondary Programs
    • $1,095 – per course, up to two courses per term
  • IMPORTANT! International applicants who are accepted into a program are required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit on their 1st term tuition to hold their seat in a program

Student Technology Fee

$100 per term – all students, all programs (Except Adult Learning and Basic Education and Community Learning Centre students.

Provides access to online and computer software tools, including: @myauroracollege.ca email, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Microsoft Teams, Grammarly, EBSCO online library search, and more.

Recreation Fee

$25 per term – all campus-based students, all programs

Student Association Fee

$25 per term – fall and winter terms, full-term, campus-based students

$10 per term – part-time, campus-based students; short-term trades, apprenticeship and industrial training students.

  • Duplicate Documents of Recognition– $50 each
  • External Exam Invigilation Fee– $50 for a 3-hour exam, $20 for each additional hour
  • NSF Cheque Fee– $50 each
  • Costs for books and materials vary by program. Please contact your campus or your Community Learning Centre for program-specific details.
  • Textbooks for Adult Learning and Basic Education (ALBE) are provided free of charge.
  • Programs funded through a third party may also cover costs for textbooks and materials.
